The Nutrition Division participates as a Regional Site for the statewide Pasco County Dietetic
Internship.
Dietetic Internship Program
MISSION
To educate nutrition graduates for leadership roles in the
profession of Dietetics in a stimulating environment which is both conducive to learning and committed to excellence, where full realization of human potential and commitment to improving the health
status of the community are pursued.
General Information
The Dietetic Internship is established with practice sites
throughout Florida. Our emphasis is on providing students with valuable professional experience within a supervised setting. Exceptional professionals and practice facilities have been
selected to provide the planned learning experience.
For interns who wish to participate,
nine graduate credits will be provided
through the College of Public Health,
University of North Florida (UNF) for
the internship didactic weeks. Interns
must be accepted as students of UNF or
complete the non-degree seeking
application to receive graduate credits.
Current State of Florida WIC and
Nutrition Program employees are eligible
for participation in this program.
