TALLAHASSEE, FL The Florida Department of Health, in conjunction with other state, federal and local agencies, has updated information on the state’s website, http://www.myflorida.com. While anthrax-related information has been available on several state agency websites, the State of Florida has now made the information more accessible and user-friendly. A dedicated and comprehensive link related to the anthrax bacteria is available on the myflorida.com homepage.

With heightened interest in the anthrax disease and current events, the Department of Health has added pertinent information to the main site with several links to provide easy access for any person or groups interested in learning more about the situation. The site includes information on anthrax, a full listing of public health and public safety notices related to the current situation and commonly asked questions. There are also links to other informational sites such as the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The myflorida.com website provides Florida’s citizens with regularly updated information regarding health and public safety concerns or questions related to anthrax. We encourage interested individuals, medical professionals, government agencies, schools and other organizations to use this resource. In addition, the Florida Department of Health will continue to operate its toll-free number (1-800-342-3557) for anyone who has further questions.
