Power outages and telephone
failures have left patients
scrambling to communicate
with their physicians. The
Palm Beach County Medical
Society and Quantum
Foundation have established
a patient referral line to
update on the status of
doctor’s practices within
the county.
Patients can call
800-320-6010 and receive
information on when their
doctor anticipates opening
and alternate contact
information.
Physicians who are
experiencing phone
difficulties, answering
service failures and on
going power outages should
also contact the Medical
Society at 561 832-6043 with
status information.
Under the Emergency Pharmacy
Act, patients can receive
medications for up to two
weeks by presenting their
prescription bottle.
Insurance will be honored
accordingly. Narcotics are
exempt from this act.
