PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL—Palm
Beach County Health
Department Dental Program
recently honored nine
endodontists who have
sponsored the "Save a Molar"
program for the
underprivileged teenagers in
need of a root canal. Until
these doctors began the
program, the only
alternative for these teens
was extraction of the
affected tooth through the
Dental Program at the Palm
Beach County Health
Department. Upon referral
from the Health Department,
young patients are treated
at no charge in the private
offices of these generous
dentistry specialists, where
the tooth is saved for the
teen.

Honorees for their extraordinary work on behalf of the
children in Palm Beach
County include (from Left to

Dr. Sang Shin, Dr. Rory
Mortman (a co- founder of
the “Save a Molar” program,)
Dr. Theodore Lerner, Dr.
Jeff Albert, Dr. Charlyn
Bradshaw, Dr. Kenneth
Bradshaw, and Dr. Bradley
Ginzler (Also receiving
honors, but not pictured
were Dr. Bruce Schulman and
Dr. Bernard Metric (who
donated root canal services
to health dept. for 18
years.)
“These doctors are all very dedicated to preserving healthy
teeth in all children of the
county. I hope that more
will follow their example
and participate in this very
important program that
assures good dental health,”
said Dental Director Dr.
Philippe Bilger at the
ceremony on July 21, 2010.
