PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL—FL—Estimates
in Florida indicate that one
in five individuals infected
with HIV have never been
tested and don’t know they
have the infection. HIV test
day is an annual event to
remind everyone that it is
better to take control, get
tested and know your status.
A number of organizations in association with the Palm Beach
County Health Department are
sponsoring free HIV testing
and other events this
weekend, June 26 and 27, to
encourage people to know
their status.
“In Palm Beach County we have over 7,000 people living with
HIV or AIDS but, we suspect
that number is much higher.
I am encouraging all to know
their status. It is that
knowledge that leads to
preventive measures that
will stop the spread,” said
Health Department Director
Dr. Alina Alonso.

Department Health Centers
