Direct Patient Care:
The Palm County Health Department Dental Program has six dental
facilities. Each dental facility provides preventive, restorative and emergency dental services. In 1999, over 8,500 patients were seen and over 70,000 services were performed.
The Dental Program helps to identify clients with suspected systemic disease
and refers them to the medical clinics for early intervention strategies and disease prevention education..
