Earlier this year the Acreage Neighborhood Information Center was opened as a resource for residents to have their questions answered regarding the Florida Department of Health study of elevated pediatric brain and central nervous system cancers. Since opening in March, the center has received 1,639 visitors and fielded hundreds of phone calls.

With environmental testing completed showing no causational links to pediatric brain and central nervous system cancers, the number of visitors to the center has dropped significantly, therefore The Acreage Neighborhood Information Center closed November 5th.

Questions regarding the status of the investigation will continue to be answered via telephone at 561-798-7082 or 561-671-4014, and online resources are posted at www.pbchd.com/acreage

The Palm Beach County Health Department staff will always be available to residents of the Acreage to answer questions and assist any way possible. Arrangements can also be made to assist residents in person if necessary.
